Mech Central for mobile mechanics · Hobart
Mobile mechanic software for Hobart mobile mechanics
Your workshop is the back of a ute and a driveway in whichever suburb the booking came from. Mech Central runs from your phone: the customer's car history in your pocket, a quote they can approve while you are still there, and an invoice sent before you pull out of the street.

Mobile mechanics in Hobart
Hobart's workshops in Derwent Park, Moonah and Kingston keep an older fleet on the road than most capitals — more inspections, more advisory notes, more 'let's keep an eye on that'. Watch items on a vehicle's profile, written up once and shown on every visit, are how a good shop tracks a car over years.
Built for workshops in Derwent Park, Moonah, Kingston, Glenorchy, Mornington, Cambridge and across Hobart.
Sound familiar?
Working out what you did to a car last time from a text thread and memory
Driving to a job with no signal, taking photos, and losing them
Getting paid three weeks late because the invoice was written up on the weekend
How Mech Central fixes it
Everything from the phone
Book, quote, photograph, invoice and record the payment on a phone screen. The app installs to the home screen and opens full-screen like a native app.
Photos that wait for signal
Before and after shots taken in a black spot queue on the phone and upload themselves when reception comes back. The photos you tick land on the customer's invoice.
Approvals from the driveway
Send the quote link; the customer accepts from their phone and the accepted quote becomes the invoice with the vehicle details carried across. No retyping in the ute.
A public booking page
A simple page with your services, prices, hours and a booking form. Enquiries land in your Bookings list with the car's details already filled in.
The moment it pays for itself
You finish the job in a Cranbourne driveway at 4:40 pm. By 4:45 the invoice is in the customer's inbox with photos of the old and new parts, and they have paid before you hit the freeway.
Questions mobile mechanics ask
Is Mech Central the same as TradeCentral?
Same Australian platform, same company, same price. Mech Central is the workshop-only front door: every account created here is a mechanic account, with vehicles, rego search, service reminders and inspections switched on from the start. One login works on both sites.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The first month is free with the whole app included. After that it is $49.99 a month for the whole workshop, paid by bank transfer, and you can stop any time.
Does it send SMS reminders?
Yes. Reminders go by email by default and by SMS once you switch texting on in Settings. Every text ends with 'Reply STOP to opt out', and a STOP reply is honoured across every record holding that number.
Can my staff log in?
Yes — unlimited logins at no extra cost. You choose which accounts can see prices, profit and revenue.

Free for a month
Put one mobile mechanic job through it.
Set-up takes about two minutes. Book a car, quote it, photograph it, invoice it and let the reminder bring it back. The first month is free, so it costs nothing to find out.
